The consultation fee is $29.95. If a prescription is clinically appropriate following your consultation, the cost of any medication is whatever your pharmacy charges. We don't add fees, markups, or subscriptions on top of the pharmacy's price. Generic medications for many common men's health concerns are widely available at Australian pharmacies — we recommend comparing prices.

No. You pay for the consultation. You don't pay anything else unless you book another consultation. There's no auto-renewal, no monthly fee, and no lock-in.

We think medical care and medication supply should be separate. You see us for clinical care. You fill your script at whichever pharmacy works best for you. This keeps clinical decisions independent of commercial dispensing arrangements — what's clinically right for you, not what's commercially right for us.

We can suggest pharmacy options known for competitive pricing on common medications — or you can choose your own. The choice is yours, and we don't receive any commission either way.

Most online men's health services in Australia run on a subscription model — a recurring monthly fee that bundles the consultation, dispensing, and shipping of a treatment. The economics depend on patients staying on that subscription, often filled through a single nominated pharmacy with a margin built into the price. We don't run that model. You see a doctor. You get a script if appropriate. You fill it wherever you like. That's it.

Yes. You'll see Dr James, an Australian doctor and GP registrar (RACGP training programme). It's a phone or video consultation — your choice at booking — not a form that auto-generates a treatment plan. If the clinical picture suggests something we can't safely manage by telehealth — such as a need for in-person examination, specialist referral, or investigations that need physical attendance — we'll tell you and help you find the right next step.

A regular face-to-face GP consultation in Australia typically has an out-of-pocket gap of $40–$80 after the Medicare rebate, with longer consults higher (source: Cleanbill Blue Report 2024). drjames is a flat $29.95, fully private — no rebate, no surcharge for longer consults. We're a different option, not a replacement for your regular GP; for ongoing general medical care, keep your GP.
